How the Moove&Groove program can help you in the Corona Crisis

With visit limitations and lifestyle programs cancelled in aged care facilities, are you challenged to maintain morale and keep residents and staff spirits high?

Moove&Groove enables your staff to continue to bring joyful and magical moments to all residents during this difficult time. We have consulted with industry experts to ensure infection control procedures are implemented and are completely safe to use.

AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE we now provide Samsung tablets with the program configured with applications to run a Virtual Visitor Program to allow families to stay in touch through video calls. We will also train your staff how to do this.

Are you wondering…?

Can Moove&Groove be used during infection control?

Yes it can! Infection control experts have confirmed that the “use of standard sensible infection control measures as basic detergent wipes are sufficient for coronavirus”.

Can staff be trained remotely and effectively to use the program?

Absolutely! Moove&Groove are experts in training staff remotely. Staff are supported by easy to follow step by step guide, short videos and ongoing coaching.

How much time will this take? Our staff are busy…

1 hour! The training program is quick and easy – 1-hour phone call and then a 20-minute phone conversation each week for the next 6 weeks.

What is the cost of the program?

Very affordable! There is an initial set up fee and a small ongoing subscription fee – which is significantly less than a single entertainer visit.

Our program enables staff to engage residents in music and reminiscence therapy for:

  • dementia care
  • palliative care
  • spiritual care
  • isolated residents
  • culture care (including other languages)

“Moove & Groove has given my RAO’s a tool to connect with residents and form relationships. Having this program in all of our facilities, especially during this time of limited visitation, means we are able to deliver activities to all residents and still tailor experiences to individual preferences. The virtual visitor is already proving to alleviate the distress families felt from limited visitation. The training program and continued support from the Moove & Groove Team has been invaluable – thank you Moove & Groove!”

“Seeing the joy and connection this program is creating in our facilities is like nothing I have ever seen before. The word I would use is ‘phenomenal’! Staff can engage with individual residents or groups, from common areas or their rooms easily… It is so effective to alleviate loneliness and isolation, as well as being a proven dementia behaviour therapy. In all my 30 years in the industry, I have never seen anything like it!”
